Melted Crayon Tower

I was playing with melting crayons and made this tiny tower by melting the crayons over a candle and dripping the wax. I think it looks like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. I might do more with this concept if I have time since I have a lot of leftover crayons from my different crayon melting projects.

Melted Metallic Crayon Art

More melted metallic crayon art. I broke a gold and a silver crayon into three pieces each. The background is black poster board glued onto cardboard. I really like the way this turned out and I might make another similar one once I have time.

Melted Crayon Art Practice

I had all kinds of left over craft gems from my Zelda treasure chest project, so I decided to make melted crayon art and stick the gems into the wax. Before I started that big project, I had a couple of test runs. Here they are:

I melted my crayons on black poster board using a hair dryer. These tests made me realize that the poster board was not thick enough (it became curved and prone to cracking once the wax melted). So for my final project, I glued cardboard onto the back which fixed the problem.

Melted Crayon Art: Batman Symbol

I decided to get in on the melted crayon art craze that is sweeping the internet. I made this batman symbol by holding a crayon over a candle and dripping it onto the paper. The background is watercolor.
